宜蘭縣三星鄉 (Sanxing Township) spans a town centre, riverside farmland and foothill settlements; it is a destination, not one gated attraction.

Sanxing as a whole is not labelled fully accessible; buildings, riverbanks and mountain trails differ.

Qingshui Geothermal Park, Taipingshan, Cilan and Mingchi are outside Sanxing in Datong Township; they are onward mountain extensions.

Meihua Lake, Xinliao Waterfall, Sanqi Beauty Trail and Dongshan River Ecoark are in Dongshan Township, not inside Sanxing.
